Musical Moments, Sunday, August 27 at 9:00 pm

“GRANDS MOTETS“, as part of Soirées Autrement at the cathedral, Sunday August 27 at 9:00 pm.

The Ensemble vocal et instrumental CDC will feature a string quartet, flutes, brass, continuo and 30 singers, under the musical direction by Pierre Calmelet. Program: the Motet “Super Flumina Babilonis” by Delalande, Purcell’s “Queen Mary’s Funeral”, and Charpentier’s Motet “Domine Salvum”.
A flamboyant finale to the Soirées de la Cathédrale.

 

FROM SILENCE TO MUSIC – EVERY SUNDAY / 9:00 pm The cathedral is a place for meditation and for lively music. The evening will be immersed in musical atmosphere. The artists look for places attuned to their sensibility, they pause for meditation. Far from a concert ambience, they cause the cathedral to vibrate in a different way…
