Spiritual Audition by the Oxford Oriel College Choir, Saturday, July 1, 7:00 pm

Under the direction of David Maw, the Oxford Oriel College Choir (University of Oxford, UK) will take part in the 6:00 pm mass on Saturday, July 1, in Chartres Cathedral.
Then at 7:00 pm, the choir will give a spiritual musical audition.

The Oriel College Chapel Choir sings two major services each week during the term: the Choral Evensong on Sundays at 6pm, and the Choral Communion on Wednesdays at 6pm. It also sings at special services during the academic year and goes on tour every summer. Recent tours have taken them to Milan, Munich and Prague.

The sacred music repertoire of this mixed-voice choir of some 30 members ranges from the 16th to the 21st century.

The program includes works by Tallis, Byrd, Stanford, Parry, Elgar, Britten and various arrangements by D.H. Aldrich.
