Spiritual Audition by Schola Saint-Augustin (Michigan, USA), Tuesday June 13 at 5:30 pm

The Schola Saint-Augustin, a group of young American singers (Michigan), will give a spiritual audition on Tuesday June 13 at 5:30pm, followed by mass at 6:15pm.

The Schola Saint-Augustin is part of a Catholic enrichment program for children in the state of Michigan, USA. It comprises 22 children, who will be touring France in June 2023.

“As such, music is an act of faith that allows one to transform one’s body into a musical instrument to pray to God in communion with others. The gift of Beauty is an offering to God, to ourselves the community of believers, and to all those who listen to us sing. Because children’s singing moves us, it becomes a gift for all. Through the beauty of their singing, our pupils can offer themselves to the Lord as a “sacred holocaust”.

Program: Kyrie and Gloria of Antonio Lotti; O Salutaris of Luigi Churubini; a Duet of Johann Sebastian Bach; Hallelujah of Ludwig van Beethoven; Ave Maria of Giulio Caccini; Non-Nobis Domine (psalm attributed to David, music by Simon Rattle).
