Major diocesan pilgrimage - opening of the Jubilee Year, on 8 September 2024

PROGRAM FOR SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 8 :

North Route :

9:00 am: launch mass at Jouy

10:00 am: start of the walk to La Visitation (10 km)

10:30 am: mass in Lèves, with the option of joining the walk afterwards.

12:30 pm: picnic at La Visitation

1:45 pm: departure for Saint-Pierre church along the banks of the Eure (1.5 km)

South Route :

9:30am: visit to Barbelés Seminary

10:30 a.m.: opening mass at the seminary

12:00 pm: picnic on site

1:20 pm: departure for Saint-Pierre church along the banks of the Eure (3.5 km)

Notre-Dame de Chartres Cathedral, 11:00 am: Mass celebrated by Mgr Philippe Christory, Bishop of Chartres

GATHERING :

2:30 pm: Saint-Pierre church, rosary meditation

3:15pm: procession to Notre-Dame

4:30pm: solemn vespers, salute to the Blessed Sacrament

5:15pm: friendship drink on the south square

You can join the pilgrimage at any time during the day.

North route : return to Jouy by train,
South route : drivers from Chartres can be escorted to their cars at the Séminaires des Barbelés.
