50th Chartres Festival: Sunday concerts at 4:30 pm from July 14 to August 18

During the three-year reconstruction of the great organ, the Association of the Great Organs of Chartres continues its activities by offering the public a series of concerts showcasing the richness of vocal and instrumental repertoires, with a significant emphasis on works particularly suited to this renowned spiritual and cultural site.

This summer, the Association des grandes orgues de Chartres is organizing 6 concerts on Sundays at 4:30 pm, as part of the 50th Chartres Festival.

July 14th: Quintet Phénix (Apon, Borodine, Brahms, Moussorgski)

July 21st: Ensemble PÉROTIN LE GRAND (Gregorian chant and medieval polyphony from École Notre-Dame)

July 28th: Ensemble MAGNUS LIBER (Gregorian chant and polyphony)

August 4th: Clarinet and Organ Duet (Bach, Fauré, Gandrille, Mozart)

August 11th: Bowed fiddle and Singing Duet (Gregorian chant, 13th-century songs and conducts from the École Notre-Dame)

August 28th: Brass Quintet BACCHUS (Debussy, Dukas, Josquin des prés, Farnaby, Fauré)
