49th Chartres Festival: Sunday concerts at 4:30 pm from July 9 to August 20

During the three-year reconstruction of the great organ, the Association of the Great Organs of Chartres continues its activities by offering the public a series of concerts showcasing the richness of vocal and instrumental repertoires, with a significant emphasis on works particularly suited to this renowned spiritual and cultural site.

This summer, the Association des grandes orgues de Chartres is organizing 7 concerts on Sundays at 4:30 pm, as part of the 49th Chartres Festival.

July 9 : Ensemble QU4TRE à 4, trombone quartet (Telemann, Bruckner, Debussy…)

July 16 : Ensemble de CUIVRES DE LA NEUSTRIE, brass ensemble (Bruckner, Gabrieli, Karg-Elert, Mendelssohn, Mouret…)

July 23 : Ensemble PÉROTIN LE GRAND (Gregorian chant and medieval polyphony from École Notre-Dame)

July 30 : Ensemble ORISCUS (Monodies and medieval polyphony)

August 6 : Accordion Duo (Bach, Ravel, Debussy, Piazzolla…)

August 13 : Ensemble VOX CANTORIS (Sacred music from the Renaissance to the time of François 1er)

August 20 : Ensemble BACCHUS, brass quintet (Debussy, Dvorak, Haendel, Mendelssohn…)
